Thermador dishwashers are built on the same platform as Bosch, so many codes behave alike: E15 means water in the base and leak protection stopped the cycle, E24/E25 point to the drain path or pump. Thermador's condensation drying depends on rinse aid, and Las Vegas hard water leaves film without it. Start with the filter, hoses and rinse aid; panel-ready units often need a technician to pull them out safely.

6 checks you can do safely
- Clean the filter. Twist out the filter and rinse it and the sump.
- Check the drain path. Run the disposal; check the air gap and drain hose.
- Leak protection (E15). Look for the leak — door seal, hoses or oversudsing; the base must dry before it runs.
- Fill the rinse aid. Condensation drying needs it, especially with hard water.
- Descale monthly. A citric-acid cleaner keeps spray arms and heaters clear.
- Don't pull a panel-ready unit yourself. Integrated panels and anti-tip brackets are easy to damage.
When to call a technician
- E15 returns after the base dries.
- It hums but won't drain.
- Dishes stay cloudy after descaling.
Code came back after these checks? That means a part has failed — let a technician confirm it before parts are guessed.
Stay safe
Unplug the appliance (or switch off its breaker) before touching anything inside it, and never open a sealed refrigeration system, a gas valve or a microwave. If a code points to a part, the part has to be tested before it is replaced; we do that on the $75 diagnostic visit, credited toward the repair.
