Over-the-range microwave with the door open above a gas range

Samsung Microwave Error Codes: What They Mean and What to Do

Samsung microwave codes fall into groups: C-d0/C-d1/C-d2 and E-01 are door or keypad faults, C-10 to C-22 are food and temperature sensors, C-F0/C-F1 and TE are communication errors, E-24 means too hot inside and E-45 a cooling fan problem. Samsung's first step is always a power cycle — unplug or switch off the breaker, let it dry if moisture got in, restart. Codes that return need service; never open the cabinet.

Try this first

  1. Unplug the microwave or switch off its breaker for 60 seconds.
  2. If steam or a spill got into the panel, let it dry before restarting.
  3. Make sure the door closes fully and nothing is caught in it.

Codes and their meaning can vary by model and production year, and the same code can have different causes. Where sources disagree we say so; in every case the exact cause is confirmed only by a technician's on-site diagnosis. Your owner's manual has the definitive list for your model.

Code came back after these checks? That means a part has failed — let a technician confirm it before parts are guessed.

Stay safe

Unplug the appliance (or switch off its breaker) before touching anything inside it, and never open a sealed refrigeration system, a gas valve or a microwave. If a code points to a part, the part has to be tested before it is replaced; we do that on the $75 diagnostic visit, credited toward the repair.
